AssureCheck™ 10HR Biological Indicator - 25/Box
The self-contained Medicom AssureCheck™ 10 Hour Biological Indicator includes a sealed glass ampoule filled with a proprietary soybean-casein digest broth and a potential of Hydrogen (pH) indicator Bromocresol Purple. Additionally, it contains a paper carrier inoculated with a population of spores resistant to sterilization. These components are housed within a clear polypropylene casing, which also features a Type 1 process indicator to provide an immediate visual confirmation on whether the unit was exposed to steam. This product is meant to be used with an incubator capable of maintaining the required incubation temperature of 58˚C to 62˚C. When the ampoule is crushed and incubated at the
required temperature, the organism will proliferate, and the visible sign of growth is indicated by color change of the pH indicator from purple to yellow and/or turbidity.
