Title
3M™ Attest™ Super Rapid 5 Steam-Plus Challenge Pack
The 3M™ Attest™ Super Rapid 5 Steam‑Plus Challenge Pack 41482V is a pre-assembled, single-use Process Challenge Device (PCD) designed to qualify and monitor dynamic-air-removal (pre‑vacuum or SFPP) steam sterilization cycles at 270 °F (132 °C) for 4 minutes and 275 °F (135 °C) for 3 minutes in healthcare settings
- Biological Indicator (BI) results in approximately 24 minutes when used with the 3M™ Attest™ Auto-reader 490 or 490H (with software v4.0.0+), or the 490M for rapid fluorescent detection
- Optional visual pH color change result available in ~48 hours
-
The BI contains viable spores to directly validate sterilization efficacy, while the Type 5 chemical integrator confirms steam/temperature exposure
- Intended for routine qualification or monitoring of dynamic-air-removal sterilization cycles at specified time/temperature parameters in healthcare facilities.
- Compliant with recommendations from AAMI for implants and critical instruments, combining both BI and integrator in one pack
- Contains a glass ampoule inside the plastic vial—must cool the BI for ~10 minutes before activation and wear safety glasses to avoid injury
- Do not open or reuse the pack before sterilization. Use only with the defined sterilization cycles; not suitable for gravity-displacement steam or cycles below 132 °C or dry heat, ethylene oxide, etc.
